Here you will find information on how SjøBjørg AS,, processes personal information. It is the owner and general manager, Sigurbjörg Danielsdottir, who is responsible for processing personal information.

Information is collected when you use SjøBjørg’s web sites: /, i.e. when you make purchase, sign up for newsletter, respond to survey or marketing communication, surf the website or uses certain other features. This data is only used to ensure that you as customer get the best service.  





Norwegian associates are required to inform about such use through the Electronic Communications Act, in the so-called "cookie paragraph":

The storage of information in the user's communication equipment, or access to such, is not permitted without the user being informed of the information being processed, the purpose of the processing, who processes the information and has agreed to this. The first sentence does not prevent technical storage or access to information:

A cookie is a text file stored in your browser when you visit a web page. Note, however, using cookies does not allow identification of an individual at the individual level. In other words, it is not possible to know that exactly you did a given action on the website.


You can even turn off cookies in your browser and / or delete them. Steps vary by browser, but you can find out by entering "delete cookies" + the name of your browser, in Google. There you'll also find out how to turn off cookies.

Please note that it is not possible to track your personal traffic on the pages. The data collected is used to continuously improve the website. For example, you can see which categories / blog posts are the most and least popular, and work targeted to highlight or improve them.





The collected data is information about purchase, traffic and behaviour on the website / Google Analytics shows, among other things, what pages are visited, how long visitors spend on each page, which traffic sources they come from (organic search on Google, social media, etc.) and more. It also collects name and email address if you choose to sign up for SjøBjørg’s mailing list.


In general information is not shared with others, however some sharing of personal information is necessary (some also required) in order to operate our business. This will typically be IT providers (i.e. web hotel, email, software and cloud-based services), accounting / auditing, advisory and statutory reporting to authorities. / are hosted by In addition, we use data processing services and Google.

We are in good faith that all these data processing services comply with the GDPR legislation.


You are entitled to appeal to the Data Inspectorate if you believe the processing of your personal data has not been processed in accordance with current regulations.





You can sign up for SjøBjørg’s mailing list several places on the website, for example, in connection with a free template etc. Then you yourself actively share your information with SjøBjørg.


It is voluntary to disclose this information.


When you sign up for an email list, typically the following data is stored: name, email address, IP address, time and place of sign-up, time zone and email provider, as well as other data that you are prompted to provide when signing up.




We take security seriously and safeguard personal information in the best possible way so that unauthorized persons do not get access or have the opportunity to change and affect personal information. We only use reputable IT suppliers and software.




According to section 28 of the Personal Data Act, information which is no longer necessary for the purposes, which they are stored is to be deleted. SjøBjørg AS stores personal information about customers in accordance with current Norwegian / European legislation.

You may at any time require the deletion of any personal information we have about you except for the information we are required or required to keep in accordance with applicable regulations, such as the Bookkeeping Act.


You can unsubscribe from SjøBjørg's mailing list at any time, and also request that all information about you be deleted. You can do that by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any post from SjøBjørg, or request it by sending an email to


The information is sent to the email provider, which processes data in accordance with the Privacy Act.
